Why We Invested in Geordie

The sun is quickly rising on the landscape of Agentic AI, illuminating new possibilities for corporate efficiency and productivity that were previously unimaginable. However, along with the gains come concerns that new risks are lurking in the shadows: most organizations are unaware of how many agents are running, what they’re connected to, or whether they’re acting in line with the desired outcome or enterprise policy. For security and IT teams, those hidden issues are deal breakers, preventing enterprises from adopting agentic tools and benefiting from the gains visible on the horizon.

As security investors, we recognized that the adoption of agentic technology would necessitate an oversight, governance, and remediation layer. To achieve this, we sought to back a team that could innovate as quickly as the sector was developing. In early 2025, we were excited to back the team at Geordie, which included seasoned executives from Darktrace and Snyk. We collaborated with them in stealth mode as they built their AI-native platform to address this specific challenge. Today, we’re thrilled to announce their launch out of stealth, cheering them on as they enter the next chapter of their company’s growth.

Drawing on their extensive experience in AI and cybersecurity, the Geordie team has developed a product that offers the insight and governance layers that Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) need. Their platform enables teams to identify existing agents, understand their configurations, and monitor their activities. This team has also recognized the need to provide security teams with a mitigation capability, which is why the platform also can “coach” agents in real-time, preventing risky behavior through contextual guidance, ensuring their actions remain aligned, compliant, and operational.

Initial commercial traction has been strong. From these engagements, we know that enterprises are eager to deploy agentic AI but lack the necessary security infrastructure to do so responsibly. The Geordie team has worked closely with these security and IT teams to ensure their platform covers a wide range of use cases and operates across various environments, utilizing different types of agents necessary for effectiveness. They’ve built a proprietary risk model that analyzes thousands of tools and risk scenarios, with more being added every day.

At Ten Eleven, we’ve had the privilege of working with Geordie CEO Henry Comfort and CAIO Hanah-Marie Darley before, and we find their vision and ability to execute to be unparalleled. Paired with CTO Benji Weber, they bring a unique blend of applied AI, GTM expertise, and technical leadership that’s rare to find. Their experience at Darktrace and Snyk puts them at the forefront of enterprise AI adoption, and they are now poised to help the world through the next iteration of that paradigm.

Lastly, it’s important to highlight that Geordie underscores the UK’s ongoing role as a center for groundbreaking AI innovation. This region has long been a hub for AI advancements, producing earlier generations of foundational AI companies. Geordie has the potential to foster the next wave of companies that are reshaping the AI landscape. Interestingly, the name “Geordie” originates from a lamp used by coal miners in the UK during the Industrial Revolution to signal when dangerous conditions were present. This serves as a fitting metaphor for what the Geordie company is doing today in the Agentic AI Revolution. It reflects a historical continuation of the innovation needed to harness new resources, first as a source of energy and mass production, and now as a source of intelligence and mass productivity.

We couldn’t be more excited to support this team and their contribution to unlocking the power of the century ahead, enabling security and IT teams to say yes to innovation safely. And truth be told, it’s good fun to work with old friends again. As our fearless leader, Henry, says, up the Geordies! Here’s to all that is ahead.
