Brian Draves

Brian has held senior executive roles and been an internal and external legal and business advisor to cyber security and venture funds for the last twenty years.
Brian began his career working with early-stage technology companies and venture funds in the Palo Alto office of Cooley and then moved in-house where he served as General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer, and Chief Administration Officer for security and software companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, including PGP Corporation, Scale Eight, Reputation.com, and OneID.
In 2015, Brian moved to Boulder Colorado to serve as General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Techstars where he built the infrastructure necessary to operate forty accelerator programs in twelve countries resulting in 500+ new portfolio companies per year. In addition to overseeing all compliance and legal issues while at Techstars, Brian was an active mentor and advisor within the Techstars ecosystem, providing guidance on legal, corporate development and human resource issues.
Brian received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law and graduated cum laude from the University of Puget Sound.
