Jim Simpson

CEO

Jim Simpson has over two decades of experience growing successful security startups. Simpson joined Blumira as vice president of product and was responsible for guiding the company’s strategic product roadmap, with a focus on accessible, easy-to-use detection and response technology. In December 2021, he assumed the role of CEO. Before joining Blumira, he led product management at Duo Security, an access security provider that was acquired by Cisco in 2018 for $2.35 billion. Prior to Duo, he led engineering and UX at the network security company Arbor Networks which was acquired by NETSCOUT in 2015. Simpson holds a B.S. in computer science from University of Michigan.

CTO and Co-Founder

Matt has over 10 years of experience in IT and development, focusing on business strategy, development, compliance, threat detection and penetration testing. Previously, he was Director of Security Services, Development & Security at NetWorks Group, responsible for defensive information security and services.
