As cybersecurity investors, we have long seen identity as one of the industry’s most constant challenges. It has become the dominant breach vector and remains one of the least unified areas of enterprise defense. Now, as AI agents do more and more work within the enterprise, securing identities has never been more important. AI agents increasingly operate across the enterprise with access to sensitive systems, often using the credentials and permissions of employees or service accounts rather than their own identities. For security teams, that creates a major visibility and control gap that demands a solution.
That is why we invested in Rig, a new company based out of Tel Aviv and led by former Wiz team member, Guy Kozliner. The Rig team is developing the holistic identity protection platform for AI-enabled environments where human, non-human, and AI identities increasingly intersect. The platform gives security teams a unified visibility of identities and their relationships, and shows how far any single identity's access actually reaches across systems. From there, teams can distinguish agent activity from human activity, right-size permissions with the impact of each change modeled before applying it, and enforce policy at runtime. In a world where AI risks must be addressed with core cybersecurity principles (understanding what is in your environment, what it can access, limiting permissions to what is necessary, and intervening when actions exceed authorized boundaries), a platform like Rig is critical.
Two novel technologies embedded in the platform enable this and differentiate it from the competition, backed by multiple patents in registration.
The Rig Identity Correlation Engine (RICE) identifies the same actor across identity providers, cloud infrastructure, on-premises systems, network edges, and endpoints with over 96 percent accuracy. This transforms fragmented account inventories into a live map of identity connections, including the lateral-movement and privilege-escalation paths an attacker could follow.
Rig's lightweight endpoint sensor monitors identity activity at its source, distinguishes agent sessions from user sessions, and can block unauthorized agent actions before requests leave the device. The sensor also updates RICE, improving its identity model as deployments expand.
From the beginning, we have been impressed by the founding team and the early validation of their approach. During his time at Wiz, CEO Guy Kozliner helped innovate the graph-based methods that transformed enterprise cloud security. Ten Eleven is not alone in its conviction in this team and its approach, co-leading our investment round with Brightmind Partners. CrowdStrike has joined as a strategic investor, and Ami Luttwak, Wiz's co-founder and CTO, is also one of the global security leaders invested in Rig. Rig is already deployed at organizations including Delta Dental, Certus Healthcare, and New American Funding, analyzing hundreds of millions of identity events and access signals each month.
The security industry has long focused on controls for human and non-human identities. The emergence of AI agents requires enterprises to rethink how they understand, monitor, and protect identity.
